Patients were first dialysed here in 1985.
This unit has 10 haemodialysis and 8 peritoneal dialysis patients This unit has 16 haemodialysis and 25 peritoneal dialysis patients.

About the unit:
The Children & Young Peoples Kidney Unit is based at the City Campus, Nottingham University Hospitals and serves a population of 6 million including the old Trent and North Anglia regions. Regional shared care clinics are held in Sheffield, Rotherham, Chesterfield, Leicester, Peterborough, Cambridge, Norwich, Kings Lynn, Boston and Lincoln.

The Unit offers comprehensive services for acute and chronic renal problems including laparascopic live donor kidney donation. The Unit has won several awards for innovation including haemofiltration and youth work support.
