About the unit:
The new Evelina Children's Hospital opened in October 2005, on the St Thomas' Hospital site, following the move of all paediatric services from the Guy's Hospital site. The Paediatric Nephro-Urology unit offers comprehensive tertiary level care in all aspects of nephrology, dialysis, transplantation, and urology.
Research and special expertise
Research activities and interests include study of renal disease in children with sickle cell disease, cardiovascular disease in children with chronic renal failure and renal transplantation, nephrotic syndrome, urinary tract infections and hypertension. There are ongoing research projects in these areas including participation in a multi-centre project on lupus nephritis.
